About the Butterfly Bytes' fee scale..
The above pricing schedule additionally includes:
- Approximate 1,000 words and three images per page
- Two minor updates per month for a year (name changes or color adjustments for example).
- A very personal touch: It's just you and me working together one-on-one to develop and maintain your online presence.
Content and traffic development is created by you..
As the owner on record of your website, several responsibilities will always remain in your hands:
- Content: All images and actual verbage for, wording of your website will need to be provided by you. This is not as hard as it may initially appear. If you already have brochures, newspaper advertising, and/or television commercials out there for which you own the copyright to the content, your website is already well on its way to fruition.
- Online Presence Development: As part of any web design package, I will already be keeping Google apprised of any alterations to your website, thus developing your presence in that particular high traffic venue. You will need to take on the task of making any other contacts that lead to others who will link to your website. This can be as simple of just making sure your website domain is tastefully a part of your outgoing email signature file.
- HUGE Tip: NO SPAMMING! and NO LINK FARMS! as either will drive your website straight to the bottom of the search engine optimization (SEO) heap in a heartbeat.

The above pricing schedule does not include yearly website hosting nor DNS domain name costs. If you do not already have these services at hand, we can certainly work together to find you compatible, competitive representation online. Depending on your budget (and in spite of what many critics might otherwise advise), it is still possible for small businesses to have a good, solid presence online while spending little more than $100 per year for both their web host and domain name service provider.
Why my pricing schedule is lower than many..
As may be noticed by those who have priced services elsewhere, my fees are low in comparison to many other web developers. This is reflective in that my web authoring technique is intentionally of a very simple, handcrafted nature and does not include, for example, the sometimes rather inaccessible Flash effects. The good news is that Internet search engines seem to embrace the way I code and reflect the same by regularly including my creations very visibly in their rankings.
